The Clean Leaf Story
In 2016, Erik Wiesbock began researching our nation’s industrial food system and the damage it does to our environment and our bodies. He realized how much of a positive impact local and sustainably grown food can have on a community. After studying agricultural practices by world- renowned sustainable agriculture farmers such as Jean-Martin Fortier, as well as visiting farms practicing permaculture and sustainable agriculture, he began applying what he had learned to start his own gardens from seed to vegetable. Fast forward to 2023, now living in a suburban setting, Erik researched ways to continue his passion for farming. Microgreens were the perfect fit as they take substantially less space to grow and are more nutrient dense than conventional vegetables. In late 2023, he partnered with his brother-in-law to start Clean Leaf Microgreens.
